ADOPTION INFORMATION

There is an old very sweet and scared poodle at the Passaic shelter that was found tied outside the shelter in the rain. I've met the dog and he's just about 5 pounds and is very sweet. He sat on my lap and kissed my face. I am told he is really afraid of being picked up for whatever reason. Madison is a loving 4 year old 12" beagle and weighs in at a mere 26 lbs. She maintains a healthy balance between playful and serene and is the best canine snuggler around! (She'll sleep right on your chest like a cat if you'll let her!) Madison is extremely submissive with strangers, kids, other dogs, and cats. She'll slurk to the ground whether she's facing a Golden Retriever, a shitsu or a little kitten. Our trainer/groomer said that Madison has 0 aggression -- we've never even heard her growl! In fact, my nephew often has his hand right in her dish while she's eating! Unlike her fellow breed members, Madison is not much of a barker. (She's not the dog for you if you want to be alerted when people come to the door -- unless you count the thump of her wagging tail!) Madison's main fault is that she loves to run and doesn't listen if you call her back. Given the opportunity, she will run to China and never look back! (Food/treats and/or bones don't motivate Madison -- in fact she doesn't even eat the bones we buy her.) A fenced in or safe open area is the best place for this beagle! In sum, Madison is a sweet, loving, playful companion. She loves all people..but especially loves those who love her! Contact Us
